Dogs on Beaches

Here at Bryn Ffynnon we know that your dog is part of the family and in most of Conwy and the surrounding areas they are very welcome.

However some of the local beaches do have restrictions on dogs during the summer months.

In Wales this is from 1st May to 30th September  ( Gwynedd 1st April to 30th September)

The good news is that on our local beaches the ban is only partial and affects the following areas:

  • Colwyn Bay - between Victoria Pier and and West Promenade
  • Rhos on Sea beach, between Rhos Point and the eastern end of the Cayley Promenade,
  • Llandudno North Shore beach, from Llandudno Pier to Clarence Road, and
  • Llandudno West Shore beach, between the two stone groynes,

Other beaches and your dogs are welcome

On Anglesey it's the following beaches affected:

  • Beaumaris
  • Benllech
  • Cemaes Bay
  • Llanddwyn, Newborough
  • Llanddona
  • Porth Dafarch
  • Trearddur Bay

If you venture across to the Lleyn Peninsular and the rest of Gwynedd there are restrictions on

  • Aberdyfi
  • Tywyn
  • Fairbourne
  • Barmouth
  • Bennar
  • Llandanwg
  • Harlech
